ATC #14: Volcano Dash
"While most Pokemon run in fear of erupting volcanoes, Torchic playfully frolics about amidst the chaos."
For Christmas in 2010, I wanted to draw a set of ALL of the starter Pokemon as ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) so I could give them away to some of the local kids and friends at my local Pokemon TCG League. I drew the entire set of starters in two days. Unfortunately, they were never inked (most of my ATC series aren't), but even in pencil they look kinda nice. Maybe someday I will remaster them!
This is definitely not one of my favorites of the ATC starter set, but it is a Torchic, so I guess that's ok. It's just kind of running away from a volcano or something. I couldn't think of what to make it do. I don't like its beak or its face, but oh well, at least I drew it, right?
